1. The short version
You can try Fretso free for three days without giving us a card. After that it is a monthly or annual subscription that you can cancel yourself, at any time, from inside the app. Cancelling stops the next charge — it does not claw back the period you have already paid for, and you keep using Fretso until that period ends.
We do not make you email us to cancel, and we do not hide the button.
2. Free trial
Every new business gets a three-day trial with full access. No card is required to start it, so nothing is charged when it ends. If you do not choose a plan, the account simply stops working until you do — we do not convert trials into paid subscriptions automatically.
3. Cancelling
Cancel from Settings → Plan and billing inside the app, at any time, without contacting us.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- You keep full access until then. Nothing is switched off early.
- You are not charged again after that.
If you close your business account entirely, we cancel the subscription for you as part of that — and if the cancellation fails for any reason, we do not close the account, because we will not leave a card being charged for something you can no longer reach.
4. Refunds
Because cancelling always stops the next charge rather than the current one, most people never need a refund. For the cases that are not most people:
- Charged after cancelling. Refunded in full, always. Tell us and we will return it — this is our mistake, not a request you have to argue.
- Charged twice for the same period. The duplicate is refunded in full.
- Fretso was unusable and we could not fix it. We refund the affected period. If our software did not work, we should not keep the money for it.
- You changed your mind mid-period. We do not refund partial periods as a rule. Write to us anyway if the circumstances are unusual — a business that closed after a week is not the same as one that wants a discount, and we would rather look at it than apply a rule blindly.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Timing is your bank's, not ours: typically five to ten working days after we process it.
5. Annual plans
An annual plan bills ten months for twelve, so the discount is taken up front. If you cancel an annual plan part-way through, you keep access for the rest of the year you paid for. We do not refund the unused months by default, because the price already assumed a full year.
If you are closing the business entirely rather than switching away, write to us — that is a different situation and we will consider it on its facts.
6. Failed and duplicate payments
If a payment fails, we email you and retry. Nothing is switched off while retries are running — you are not locked out of your own bookings over a card that expired. If the retries are exhausted, the subscription stops and we tell you plainly; your data is still there and starting a new subscription restores access.
If you are ever charged and cannot see what for, contact us before disputing it with your bank. We will find it faster than a chargeback will, and a chargeback closes your account automatically at the payment provider's end.
7. Your data after cancelling
Cancelling a subscription does not delete anything. Your records stay where they are and come back when you subscribe again.
Closing your business account is different: it is unreachable immediately, kept forthirty days so you can reopen it if you change your mind, and then permanently deleted along with pets, pet parents, bookings, grooms, stays, clinical records and invoices.
Export anything you are required to keep before that. Under Indian GST rules, invoices must be retained for several years — that obligation is yours and it outlives the account. Once the thirty days are up we cannot recover your data, because it no longer exists.
8. Price changes
If we change the price of a plan, we tell existing subscribers before it applies to them, and it never applies to a period you have already paid for. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.
9. How to ask
Email [email protected] with the business name and, if you have it, the payment reference. A real person reads it, usually the same working day.
For anything that is not about money, [email protected] is faster.
